A Day of First

Today was our first baseball game of the fall season. Our team decided to put together a fall team to keep up our skills and also try out some new players for spring, as many of our players had to move up. The veterans were rusty and the newbies were well...newbies. It was kind of tough to watch, although there was some improvement as the game went on. Instead of playing for an hour and a half, like regular season, they decided to play 5 innings. I think that might be a few too many for this age group. They ended up playing for 2 hours. Jax also hit is first home run and was extremely proud of himself.

This will be the last season that they play together. Delaney will play softball in the spring.
To cool off and to celebrate Jax's homerun, Rick decided we could finally take our first dip in the pool. It definitely cooled us down. It was pretty chilly but I even got in. I couldn't be left out of our first family swim. Concrete is scheduled to be poured tomorrow. We are praying all goes smoothly.
