Fan Appreciation Day

One of the only good things about the calendar reading, August is that football is just around the corner. We decided to attend fan appreciation day in Stillwater.  The kids were excited,decked outand orange, and ready to go this morning. 

We ate at Joe's.  Delaney was super excited that her BFF, Kate could make the trip with us.  Kate is moving to Shawnee. They were making the most of their last weekend together.

After lunch we headed to GIA for the big event.   The girls were excited that they managed to catch the cheerleaders and pose for a picture with them. 

Jax was so excited to meet his favorite player, Tracy Moore. They really weren't suppose to pose for pics so I didn't expect to get much more than this photo. However, after we mentioned that Jax really loved him, not to mention I talked up his alma matter, and lucky for us an OSU camera man was suddenly looking for a photo op, Tracy suggested he take his picture with him.  He was truly a nice guy. This totally made this boy's day!

The event only lasted two hours so we didn't make it to the zone with Mike Gundy. This was devastating for Jax.  However, we later learned that he wasn't there or if he was there, it wasn't for long. The kids are already talking about going next year.  For some families, they get their thrills from an an amusement park, but for ours, it's a day in Stillwater.
