Long Week

Baylor began running temperature Halloween evening, but I figured it was just a virus as every time I gave him Ibuprofen his temperature seem to return to normal. However, by Monday his temperature had reached 103.2 and he had a cough. The doctor didn't even bother to test him for H1N1; he said he was 99% sure that's what he had and even if the test came back negative, he would treat him the same. He prescribed Tamiflu and luckily gave me two refills. Later, I found out that several other kids in his class had been out for the same thing.

The other two were under house arrest, as Skiatook Schools requires you to keep siblings home as well. Delaney didn't like this one bit. Jax began to cough on Tuesday evening and by Wednesday he was running a temperature of 102. We immediately began giving him Tamiflu and he was much better within 24 hours. Where as Baylor, ran a low grade fever through Thursday evening. At times, they were pretty lethargic but at other times, you wouldn't have even known they were sick. We've certainly endured far worse and so far Delaney hasn't shown any symptoms. While everyone else was enjoying the beautiful weather, we were stuck inside. They played dress-up, watched a million episodes of Full House, watched Dawn of the Dinosaurs close to 6 times, played games, started their Christmas list and tried to keep from going crazy.
