Labor Day Weekend

Delaney w/Pugsie. Baylor was in charge of the classroom pet this weekend. He had to take it places and then he has to share with the class where he took it. Baylor was unwilling to take his picture but camera loving Delaney was up for it.

Riding cousin, Brookelyn's 4-wheeler

not even 10 minutes after we left...tired kiddos!

Hang on...

On Saturday we went to Brian's house to celebrate Grandpa's 83rd birthday. Brookelyn brought her 4-wheeler and you all took turns riding it. On Sunday, after your nap we went to Rusty and Sheryl's for a short swim.
Monday was the big day. We finally made it out on the boat with Uncle Patrick and Aunt Julie. What a difference a year makes. You guys were all so good. Each of you drove the boat and had fun playing in the water. Delaney and Jax went tubing with Daddy. Jax went first. When he got back on the boat, he said, Thank you, that was just so much fun".
Delaney had a great time. As always she was giggly. She ended up flipping over. I was a little worried that she would be afraid but she popped up and was ready to get back on. It didn't seem to bother her in the least.
Baylor just giggled watching sister and brother. At first he said he wanted to give it a try but he backed out when it was his turn. He really had a great time just hanging on the boat and he loves watching the waves and water.
Jaxon still can't stop talking about tubing but he can't remember the name of it. At one point, he called it "scuba diving". As I tucked him in tonight he said, "mom, I just wanted to stay with Uncle Patrick and Aunt Julie. I didn't want to leave. Can we do that again?"
Labor Day marks the end of summer and I'm feeling kind of sad. This summer was so different from last summer; We were able to enjoy so many things. And, in some ways it makes me sad to think how big you will be next summer. As I put away your swim suits, I know that you may not even fit into them next year. You are growing so fast and in just a few days you will be 4 years old! It does not seem possible. I still remember Labor Day 2003 like it was yesterday. I was so miserable and so bored from being on bedrest. I was just so ready to meet my babies!
