Pretending they are at Diego Live!

Visit w/ Grandpa & Grandma

Swimming at the Skiatook Pool

It's hard to believe that school begins in less than a month. You all have enjoyed at least one trip to a pool a week if not two, a weekly trip to McDonalds, the library and an occasional visit to the movies. It's nice that we can get out of the house this summer.

We saw Diego Live last Tuesday with our friends Carole and Grace. You all had a wonderful time. Delaney danced almost the entire time. Jax stood on occasion to participate and help baby Jaguar find his "growl" and Baylor sat in his chair "zoned" the entire time. Delaney and Jax didn't want to leave at intermission to use the restroom. They were so afraid they would miss something.

Delaney's First Major Haircut

Before

After

For weeks, Delaney's been wanting her hair cut like her friend "Emily". I agreed since we really needed to even up the sides. I have to admit it's very cute but my baby looks older!

July 3rd

This celebration of the fourth of July was quite different than years past. Last year, while you were in bed you began to hear all of the fireworks which the neighbors were lighting off. I found the boys peeking out their blinds. I finally decided to let you guys out of bed and we enjoyed a little show from the porch. This year now that you can make it past 9 without having a major breakdown, we planned a little fireworks show of our own.

We originally planned to attend Skiatook's Fantasy in the Sky at the Lake, but due to all of the rain it was cancelled. So, friends and Uncle Patrick and Aunt Julie came over. We grilled hamburger and hot dogs and then shot off some fireworks. . You enjoyed your first sparklers. When it was time for the big fireworks, everyone was happy to sit back and enjoy the show. You all screamed and clapped your hands. Jax told me it was "berry fun!"

Last Day of Swim Lessons

Well, Baylor never made it back into the water but Jaxon and Delaney finished strong. Jax has mastered going underwater and likes to jump in by himself. He really likes going under water. Delaney is also going under water but prefers to have a little assistance jumping in. She really liked all the songs and was great at participating and paying attention.
Baylor was the perfect little spectator with mommy. As usual Baylor prefers to learn by watching. On Monday we went to Big Splash and I looked out and Baylor was going underwater all on his own. He actually stayed under for at least a couple of counts. He was also trying to blow bubbles and do some of the things he saw sister and brother do in swim class. He likes to do things on his own time and speed.

Family Reunion

road trip nap
Uncle Patrick's little shadow
Swimming across the river
C'mon Baylor....
Fun in the sand

a little snooze after a day of swimming!

Nothing like a road trip....Delaney crying, Jax plugging his ears!

We traveled to Beaver's Bend State Park for a family reunion or what you like to refer to as our "actaion" and stayed in cabins a.k.a cabinets (according to Delaney). Baylor loved every minute. Jax had a few moments where he just wanted to go home to Skiatook.

Everyone was much better little travelers this trip. Breakdown's were very minimal and everyone was ready for bed and slept well! Jaxon even made a little poop in the potty during the trip and just made "big" poop in the potty for the first time. We are very excited and hopeful!

Swim Lessons

Ready for swim lessons!
Listening carefully
Everyone is in the water!
And....Baylor is done!

We are two days into swim lessons. After about ten minutes, Baylor was through and cried, "mommy, mommy" for the next twenty minutes. He refused to even go near the pool today. Delaney and Jax seem to be having fun. On the first day, Delaney got so excited jumping up and down on the floating stand, that she slipped off and went under water.

Rainy Days
