July 3rd

This celebration of the fourth of July was quite different than years past. Last year, while you were in bed you began to hear all of the fireworks which the neighbors were lighting off. I found the boys peeking out their blinds. I finally decided to let you guys out of bed and we enjoyed a little show from the porch. This year now that you can make it past 9 without having a major breakdown, we planned a little fireworks show of our own.

We originally planned to attend Skiatook's Fantasy in the Sky at the Lake, but due to all of the rain it was cancelled. So, friends and Uncle Patrick and Aunt Julie came over. We grilled hamburger and hot dogs and then shot off some fireworks. . You enjoyed your first sparklers. When it was time for the big fireworks, everyone was happy to sit back and enjoy the show. You all screamed and clapped your hands. Jax told me it was "berry fun!"
