It's CHRISTMAS!

The kids were up at 6:00 ready to see what Santa had brought them and open gifts. I managed to hold them off until 7:00. It was another wonderful Christmas spent with our loved ones.  We are SUPER BLESSED!

Christmas Eve

Due to my camera slightly malfunctioning for a short period of time, most of the kids escaped my camera! As usual, the cousins enjoyed playing, while the adults enjoyed in indulging in a lot of food.

Delaney decided to write a note to Santa explaining that Jax ate one of the Oreos. Yes, the girl even tattles to Santa! She also requested that Santa write her back.  Baylor thought it was such a good idea that he decided to write a letter of his own, which asked Santa if he was a good kid or bad kid.  He told Santa that he would leave a pen our for him to circle the correct answer!

Christmas #1

We began December 24th with our traditional breakfast at Patrick & Julie's.  The kids were spoiled rotten but the boys were most excited to receive a BB gun.  Even though they had wanted one, they really didn't hold out a lot of hope as I haven't always been that excited about guns.  Jax was pretty much speechless.  Once he finally regained his senses, he later proclaimed it the best gift ever!  They are eager for the weather to warm up so they can go outside and shoot.

3rd Grade Spelling Bee Champ

I can't go without noting that Delaney captured the 3rd Grade Spelling Bee title.  We are very proud of her.  She has such a competitive spirit and always puts hear whole heart into giving her very best in all that she does.

Christmas Time

Once again, the holiday season has passed by without getting to do all the things I  wanted to do but I can't complain, we certainly did our fair share of holiday events.  I just wish I would have remembered my camera for all of them.  Rick and I  attended an Ugly sweater party . I failed to take a picture but it was one UGLY sweater.
The kids sort of reluctantly performed in the third grade holiday performance.

It worked out perfectly that I had plan during their Class Christmas Party. That's just one of the perks from teaching so close.  Mrs. Hendricks gave them each a scarf, which for many turned into head turbans.

Of course, the kids couldn't wait to visit the lights at Rhema.  Jax was just amazed by the display and couldn't believe all the work it must take to put together such a display.  In fact, he wanted to donate to their lighting fund.

Delaney was the only one who would sit on Santa's lap that night.  The boys claimed they had already seen Santa.

Tis the Season to Dance

Delaney performed several times throughout the past couple of months, including the typical performances, along with a few new ones.  Her favorite had to be Haygoods in Branson.  She was feeling like a star that night when she was able to go backstage.

The girls performing at halftime at the TU basketball game!

A little hot chocolate before the warmest  Sand Springs Chrstmas Parade, yet!

Thanksgivng 2012

Yes, this was Thanksgiving, even though it appears to be Christmas.  As usual, we did our holiday decorating a day early so we could just enjoy Thanksgiving. This year, we broke up Thanksgiving into a two day even rather than trying to cram it all in to one day!
