Thanksgiving 2K13
So much to be thankful for this year, but most of all that Rick is doing well after having shoulder surgery. We've enjoyed a wonderful week filled with many of our holiday traditions. We put up the tree and the kids, mostly Delaney and Jax helped bake some Thanksgiving goodies. I love that even though they are getting older, they still love helping out.

November Tailgate
Between soccer and football, it was difficult to get to Stillwater and tailgate. With football over, we finally made a day of it in November. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day in November.
Halloween
Maybe because the kids are getting older, but I had a hard time getting into the spirit of Halloween this year. Baylor learned that a beard is no fun! Jax learned that most people are not familiar with Percy Jackdon but he didn't care.
We made our usual rounds. The kids had fun, which is all that matters.

Target Practice
The kids spent the afternoon at the Shellenberger's enjoying the country. They fed the horse and practiced shooting. They are preparing for their first squirrel hunt.

She Did it Again!
We are super proud that once again, Delaney has been chosen as Student of the Month. I am of course very proud of her academic success, but most of all, I am proud to hear how she's always reaching out to help others.
Celebrating with a Friends
This past Friday, Delaney celebrated 10 years, 1 month and 1 day.
These girls love playing four square. This is what they do on the playground each day. Each of them are highly competitive, which can occasionally cause problems!!
I learned that when you have girls bob for apples you should buy small apples!
Jax was determined...so determined that he lost a tooth in the process! Yes, the boys joined the girls party.
Instead of birthday cake, we opted for s'mores! To cap off the evening, they sang and danced.
The kids are blessed to have some truly awesome friends.
Double Digits
It was hard to swallow my babies turning ten. Recently, we've spent time watching old video footage. I look back and see how crazy, yet mundane our daily lives were those first several years. However, I sure wouldn't trade a minute. I miss my cute babies but I am also so very proud of the young people they are becoming.
The kids enjoyed spending the afternoon with their cousins. At 10, they are still the babies of the family. Everone is growing up so fast. It won't be long before days of playing care free football in the yard and swimming will be a thing of the past. Treasuring every moment....
