Last Day of Swim Lessons

Well, Baylor never made it back into the water but Jaxon and Delaney finished strong. Jax has mastered going underwater and likes to jump in by himself. He really likes going under water. Delaney is also going under water but prefers to have a little assistance jumping in. She really liked all the songs and was great at participating and paying attention.
Baylor was the perfect little spectator with mommy. As usual Baylor prefers to learn by watching. On Monday we went to Big Splash and I looked out and Baylor was going underwater all on his own. He actually stayed under for at least a couple of counts. He was also trying to blow bubbles and do some of the things he saw sister and brother do in swim class. He likes to do things on his own time and speed.

Family Reunion

road trip nap
Uncle Patrick's little shadow
Swimming across the river
C'mon Baylor....
Fun in the sand

a little snooze after a day of swimming!

Nothing like a road trip....Delaney crying, Jax plugging his ears!

We traveled to Beaver's Bend State Park for a family reunion or what you like to refer to as our "actaion" and stayed in cabins a.k.a cabinets (according to Delaney). Baylor loved every minute. Jax had a few moments where he just wanted to go home to Skiatook.

Everyone was much better little travelers this trip. Breakdown's were very minimal and everyone was ready for bed and slept well! Jaxon even made a little poop in the potty during the trip and just made "big" poop in the potty for the first time. We are very excited and hopeful!

Swim Lessons

Ready for swim lessons!
Listening carefully
Everyone is in the water!
And....Baylor is done!

We are two days into swim lessons. After about ten minutes, Baylor was through and cried, "mommy, mommy" for the next twenty minutes. He refused to even go near the pool today. Delaney and Jax seem to be having fun. On the first day, Delaney got so excited jumping up and down on the floating stand, that she slipped off and went under water.

Rainy Days

Watching the rain!

The castle a.k.a. "a big mess"!

Since cousin Brooke's recital, we must play recital at least 2-3 times a day. Brooke danced with a chair so now the kiddos think they must have their chairs as props. Most of the time they insist dancing with the lights off, but I did get them to leave the lights on so I could get some video.

Memorial Day Weekend

Most of the weekend was cloudy with off and on rain. Friday, we went and saw "Shrek the Third". As usual, Jaxon and Baylor enjoyed the movie, while Delaney was ready to go half way through. The most interesting part for Delaney was the ending with the triplet babies, two boys & a girl! After the movie, we asked Jax if he enjoyed the movie and he replied, "It was bery awesome!"

Monday even with the rain threat, we decided to venture out to Skiatook Beach. Just as we pulled up, it began to pour down rain. Luckily the shower only lasted for about 5 minutes and then the sun started to shine. We stayed at the beach for about another hour and played in the sand and water before the next down pour hit. The fact that it was cold didn't bother you one bit.

Baylor recovers!

The kids performed in their first end of the year school program. Baylor's performance didn't go so well, because it wasn't exactly as they had practiced. The teachers placed masking tape on the stage, with each kids name on it. They were suppose to find their name and stand on the tape. Well, some kid stood on Baylor's "namo" and he was very upset and cried the entire time. The third song they were to perform included playing pretend guitars which the kids had colored earlier that day. When the teachers were quickly passing them out, they gave Baylor the wrong guitar and so he entered meltdown#2 on stage. He later recovered backstage and returned to sing in the finale. Delaney came out dancing as she made her entrance. It's become apparent, she enjoys the stage. Jaxon's highlight of the evening was taking a bow after each song.
