Crash Course

We finally have some wide open space without traffic to ride your 4-wheelers. It was more like bumper cars in the beginning, but you are finally getting the hang of things. Now, the challenge is keeping up with each of you!!!

Chilly Easter

"Cheeesseee..., Can we go?"

Look what the Easter bunny brought!

After two weeks of warm gorgeous spring weather, the high Easter Sunday was only in the mid 50's. That didn't stop you from hunting eggs a couple of times with your cousins, Brookelyn and Braylon.

We hosted both families on Easter so it was a very busy day.

I didn't get any copperation in taking a picture of you all dressed up Sunday morning!

Spring Break 2007

I can't believe how fast this week has gone. I also can't believe how much energy you all seem to have these days. You seem to get so wound up at times (running, chasing each other and wrestling each other to the ground until someone cries!). When you are in that mode, it's very hard for you to listen.

Our week:
Monday, we ran some errands and since all was going well, I decided to take you into Hobby Lobby. Big Mistake. You all touched and picked up everything. When we finally arrived to the check out, you decided to start one of your wrestling matches. It was very embarrassing!

Tuesday, we just hung out at the house. I worked on hanging pictures and decorating Delaney's room. We also played games. I realized that Delaney and Jax recognize most numbers 1-10.

Wednesday was probably the highlight of your week. We met some friends at Pump It Up, where you played for an hour and half on inflatables. You loved the slide. I think I actually wore you out that day.

Thursday, we went to Wal-Mart without any major incidents. I would even say you were very good kids. We also went to story time at the Skiatook Library. We checked out a few books and DVD's. The boys were in desperate need of hair cuts, so we decided to check out a local salon for our first "Skiatook" hair cut. Well, we definitely got our money's worth. It will be months before you need another hair cut. I was hoping to have pictures taken on Saturday, but we will be waiting until the boys have hair. Mommy was very disappointed.

Friday, we hung out in our pajamas most of the day. I cleaned house, while you all made a huge mess! Baylor as usual wore his Buzz costume most of the day.

And of course I continue to try every trick and bribe in the book to get the boys to go in the potty. Needless to say, it's not working. At one point when I was going on about how you all needed to be potty trained before you started school, Baylor said, "Don't cry mommy. I just can't make it work. It's to hard. It won't come out my pete bug!"

Daddy now says it's time to seek professional help!

Home Sweet Home

Playing Dragon at the old house!

We have finally moved into our new home in Skiatook. Daddy and I worked hard to unpack everything before you arrived. You were so excited to see all of YOUR toys. It was like Christmas all over as you discovered all the things you had left behind the past few months. Also with the additional space you were finally able to play dragon again with Daddy.

The funniest moment came at dinner time. We ordered pizza that evening, and we were sitting at the bar and Baylor asked, "mommy, do they have chocolate milk in Skiatook?"

We've been staying with Nana for the past month. While, we are grateful for Nana allowing us to stay with her, we are very anxious to move into the new house, or as Baylor refers to it as, "Skiatook". He thinks the house is Skiatook. We keep trying to tell him that the house is in Skiatook. It appears that we should be moving into our new house March 8th. Because Nana is not of the 21st century, mommy has not had a chance to update your journal so here are just a few tidbits from the past month:
  • We've made an effort to stay out of the house on the weekends. This has led to many activities for you all. One weekend we went to the movies and saw Flushed Away. Another weekend, you visited Uncle Patrick at the fire station and got to ride in the fire truck and slide down the pole a million times. We took you to Chucky Cheese and it will probably be the last time. Too many people!!!
  • You celebrated Valentine's Day at school by exchanging cards with your friends. Delaney has learned to make a "D". Baylor could care less about signing cards and Jaxon has developed the one second signature so he was mass producing valentines day cards. Baylor's favorite book at the moment is Green Eggs and Ham. Baylor can recite it. Baylor can also recite the months of the year very well.
  • Jaxon's imagination is in overdrive. He has two reindeer: Rudolph and Rednose! He also woke up really early one morning crying. When we asked him what was wrong he said, "bear bit my toe. I had to put him in time out".
  • Last night you attended your first circus. You were so excited, you just could not wait to get there. You had a good time and loved the elephants. Jaxon spotted pink stuff (cotton candy) right away so we purchased a bag. He took one bite and started spitting it out. Baylor and Delaney enjoyed the Cotton candy and Baylor had it all over himself. After the ring master announced toy time at the circus and asked children to hold up their sword lights, things went a bit sour. You finally realized hey, all the other kids have toys. The Ringmaster also said, hold up your hand if you want one and Delaney held up her hand as instructed. We managed to escape without purchasing one, but we promised to let you go to Target and pick out something. The boys chose a Curious George movie and Delaney picked out a kitty cat toy. She has finally realized she want a "girl" toy.
  • You all are constantly singing and have learned many church songs. Baylor continues to pray and thank God for anything and everything that happened to him that day. Delaney has started to thank God for Jesus and she also asks that God help her obey mommy and daddy and help her to be good!

Ice Storm

Last Friday afternoon we were hit with an ice storm. We received about 4 inches of sleet here over a period of three days. School has been out all week and we spent the week playing and make huges messes!!! You also helped me pack. We sold our house and we should move around the first of Febraury. We will most likely be spending two to four weeks with Nana until our home in Skiatook is finished. You guys keep asking me if you can take your toys. I keep telling you we are taking everything with us.

Today, we ventured out to McDonalds so you could exert some energy. You had a good time. I have to say for so many days being cooped up in the house you all have been really good kids. You are excited every evening when Daddy comes home so you can play Dragon and Hide-n-Seek.

We are suppose to be hit with a snow storm tommorrow that will drop several inches. You guys are hoping to be able to play in the snow unlike the ice. Although Jaxon said, we could make ice angels instead of snow angels!
