Target Practice

The kids spent the afternoon at the Shellenberger's enjoying the country.  They fed the horse and practiced shooting. They are preparing for their first squirrel hunt.

She Did it Again!

We are super proud that once again, Delaney has been chosen as Student of the Month. I am of course very proud of her academic success, but most of all, I am proud to hear how she's always reaching  out to help others.

Celebrating with a Friends

The boys had a sleep over the weekend before their birthday.  It was a rambunctious evening for sure!

Originally, Delaney was planning a sleepover as well, but decided to just have a party.  The difficult part was finding a free weekend, where a majority of her friends could make it.

This past Friday, Delaney celebrated 10 years, 1 month and 1 day.

These girls love playing four square. This is what they do on the playground each day.  Each of them are highly competitive, which can occasionally cause problems!!
I learned that when you have girls bob for apples you should buy small apples!

Jax was determined...so determined that he lost a tooth in the process! Yes, the boys joined the girls party.

The highlight of the party was the treasure hunt.
Instead of birthday cake, we opted for s'mores! To cap off the evening, they sang and danced.
The kids are blessed to have some truly awesome friends.

Double Digits

It was hard to swallow my babies turning ten.  Recently, we've spent time watching old video footage.  I look back and see how crazy, yet mundane our daily lives were those first several years.  However, I sure wouldn't trade a minute.  I miss my cute babies but I am also so very proud of the young people they are becoming.

The kids enjoyed spending the afternoon with their cousins.  At 10, they are still the babies of the family.  Everone is growing up so fast.  It won't be long before days of playing care free football in the yard and swimming will be a thing of the past.  Treasuring every moment....
