College Bound

The kids have been discussing their future quite a bit lately, which I fully support.  Besides, it's never to early to plan for college.  (We should probably get in on the financial planning portion).  Anyway, I've heard some of their conversations recently and I thought I would just document them for future reference.  So far, here are the terms they've come up with:

They are all getting an apartment in Stillwater together.  They are planning to ride bikes on campus and take "turn" driving to Stillwater.

The boys are doing the grocery shopping. (that should be interesting)

Delaney is doing the cooking.  She's hoping to learn how to make more than just mac-n-cheese and nachos by then.

I haven't heard them mention cleaning.  Maybe that's because it hasn't crossed their minds since a magical fairy, named Mom does that for them now.  :)

Hearts, chocolates, & roses....not so much!

Unfortunately, the month of February didn't provide us with a bed of roses...more like cold meds, cough drops, and kleenex. We started the month with a round of flu for everyone and over the past week, a stomach virus has plagued three of us.  Ugh.... I am truly praying for a "well" March.

I had big plans for Valentines Day, but it just didn't happen with all of the sickness.  However, the Sunday before Valentine's Day, I did create a mini-scavenger hunt with clues for the kids, which they absolutely loved.  It was a small reminder that sometimes it really is all about the little joys in life...
